Health Professional Student Leadership Conference

In planning the conference this year, our committee reflected on CHIP's 50+ year history. CHIP was started because of engaged students who acknowledged health and social issues, and were eager to come together to address them. Since our founding, CHIP has fostered an environment for student-led initiatives, innovations, and collaboration. Our leadership conference is at the forefront of this mission - providing an opportunity for health professional students to connect with one another across professionals, and explore diverse perspectives on leadership in healthcare.

Continuing with our DEI focus, our theme this year, Who Gets to Shape History?: Rethinking Healthcare's Past and Building an Equitable Future, opens the table for students to reflect on healthcare's history, its influence seen today, and envision what it means to lead change within healthcare for a better future. We hope you will join us for this impactful, student-led conference.

We are excited to welcome Zobeida Bonilla, PhD, MPH, as our keynote speaker! Professor Bonilla is an Associate Professor of Maternal and Child Health in the Division of Epidemiology and Community Health at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. She is a medical anthropologist and public health practitioner with interests in maternal and child health promotion among Latinas/es/x, the role of language and culture in health care, qualitative research and program evaluation, and global health. Join us for this engaging presentation with Professor Bonilla!

In addition our keynote speaker, the conference will host student-led breakout sessions and a social hour to foster connections with current health professional students, and alumni!
