About the Conference
Change, trust, and purpose – these ideas serve as the foundation of the 2026 Health Professional Student Leadership Conference. Artificial Intelligence, policy, and increased public distrust are key influences on our rapidly changing health professional environment. Amid these times of change and instability, we believe it is essential to ground our practice in purpose and trust; how do we want to show up for our patients, our colleagues, and ourselves? How do we practice ethically to advance health equity in our communities? These are all questions we plan to explore at this year's conference, in hopes that future healthcare leaders will be inspired to not only persevere through uncertainty, but also advance the field in ways that benefit everyone.
To encompass this, the theme for this year's conference is Perseverance in a Changing World: Grounding Health Professional Practice in Trust & Purpose.
The conference will host a keynote speaker, student-led breakout sessions, poster presentations, and space to foster connection among health professional students.

CHIP envisions a future where transformative education is accessible to all health science students, which empowers students to become agents of change in the healthcare system. This conference embodies our vision; CHIP was built by engaged students who acknowledged health and social inequity issues and were eager to come together to address them. We see the powerful ways in which student leadership can help make impactful changes.
