CHIP’s Care Corner aims to address the alarmingly high number - over 11% - of reported health professional students who face food insecurity by providing meals, wholesome foods, and essential supplies to students at no cost. While we acknowledge this initiative does not solve underlying inequities that contribute to food insecurity, the project aims to support students at the University of Minnesota and address the issue through a growing network of campus resources and partnerships.
The Care Corner is stocked every Wednesday in the IP Student Lounge.
CHIP staff and the CHIP Executive Council are constantly brainstorming ways to expand the Care Corner and improve the resource for health professional students. The form below lists the ways in which you can support the Care Corners. If you would like to assist us, help us brainstorm, or get involved in any way, please let us know!
