All health professional students at the University of Minnesota are eligible to participate. The Local CLARION 2022 competition registration is now open. We will close registration on January 24th.

Important Dates

The CLARION 2022 timeline is listed below.

  • Information session: Friday, December 10th from 12:30pm - 1:00pm
    • Location: Via Zoom
  • Registration opens: November 22nd, 2021
  • Registration deadline: January 24th, 2022
  • Local case competition orientation: January 29th, 2022
  • Case and guidebook released: January 29th, 2022
  • Competition date: February 26, 2022

The case will be released: January 29th, 2022.

Participant Information

Registered teams will receive a Case Competition Guidebook, which includes:

  • Rules and regulations
  • Roles for students and advisors
  • Team definitions
  • Judging criteria
  • Contact information for additional questions
  • Technical assistance for team development

Once registration is closed, four-person teams will be randomly assigned. Team adjustments may be made in order to ensure each competing team represents at least two professions. Team assignments will be shared at the local case competition retreat (more information below). Requests to be on a team with specific people are not accepted.

*ALL registered University of Minnesota Twin Cities, Rochester, and Duluth students MUST attend. If you cannot make the retreat but wish to participate in the case competition, you must contact us in advance and exceptions may be made on a case by case basis and a make-up session is required.*

Local Competition Award Information

  • 1st place (shared award): $3,000
