Students' International Health Committee

The Students' International Health Committee (SIHC) strives to bring a global perspective to the training of students in health professions at the University of Minnesota while fostering global health awareness in the greater Twin Cities community.

As a committee in the Center for Health Interdisciplinary Programs (CHIP), SIHC recognizes the value of varying perspectives on health and membership is open to students from all schools within the Academic Health Center.

SIHC activities encourage students and community members to take an active role in learning about global health.  Past activities have included presentations, films, international opportunities, and the Global Health Forum.

The Students’ International Health Committee is seeking additional committee members to plan the Global Health Forum to be held in March 2008. Students in Nursing, Dentistry, Allied Health, and Veterinary Medicine are especially needed. For more information and to become involved contact Emily.

For more information about the SIHC contact chip@umn.edu.
