CLARION presents Friday Night in the ER
Participate in a simulation board game that resembles the challenging decisions an interprofessional team has to make in an ER setting. The game is set during a typical 24 hour period and is led by Dr. Sherrill Zehr, a professional facilitator and owner of a management consulting company. In addition to facilitating the game, she will lead a debriefing/discussion afterwards. Registration is limited and accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you wish to participate email Erin at reick004@umn.edu.

CLARION Spring Case Competition
Local competition: March 29, 2008
National competition: April 11-12, 2008
CLARION takes great pride in the Case Competition and dedicates a full year’s time to the organization of the event.
What is it? Local and national students form inter-professional teams to enhance their problem analysis and presentation skills. Each team is charged with applying their creativity, knowledge, and experience to analyze the diverse issues facing a healthcare organization. Presentations are made to a panel of judges representing leaders in the healthcare field and scholarships are presented to each member of the winning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place National teams.
How can you help? The spring case competition may not be taking place until April 2008, but the planning has already begun! Because CLARION hosts many local and national teams at the competitions there are many logistics that need to be determined. Therefore, there are many roles that volunteers can help to fulfill. A large part of the work occurs in March and April, but we welcome volunteers throughout the year. Please contact Karla at vanw0038@umn.edu for more information.
